Costa Rica

Aine Ni

Aine has directed relief and development projects for women and children in South and Central America for 25 years. Currently she is engaged in coordinating and developing social projects in Central America where she also runs a successful herbal medicine business.

Nina Voronov

Nina has been a registered nurse for 7 years. For the past four years, she has studied at the Centro de Balance Integral, an institute for holistic medicine and has incorporated this knowledge into her nursing practice. Nina has extensive experience working with children with disabilities.

Luisa Salazar

Luisa studied Food Industry Engineering with a specialization in Total Quality and Productivity Management. She is experienced in consultancy and audit ISO 9000. She manages the legal affairs of the foundation and oversees the development and organization of our offices.

Henry Marin

Henry has a degree in agronomy and economics/marketing and is now a medical student in his forth year. He directs the foundation's Sattva Vita Health Clinic in Costa Rica and hosts a weekly TV program on health that is broadcasted nationally.

Haydee Garro

Haydee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and a Master degree in Philosophy. Haydee has worked for 30 years as a secondary school teacher and has extensive volunteer and field experience working for women and children's projects in Costa Rica.

Barbara Diane Asen

Ms. Asen is the Associate Director for Family Support of the Family Center of Washington County in Montpelier, VT. For the last 18 years, she has specialized in planning and delivering services to children and families.

Ana Jabra

Ms. Jabra has developed relief and welfare programs for women and children for over 28 years in Europe and in the Americas. She has organized schools, cooperatives, clinics, agricultural development and projects to help women become economically self-sufficient.

Claudia Matta

Ms. Matta has a MA in communication and has worked extensively in public outreach for social service programs. She has coordinated programs that provide services to the medically uninsured and worked with youth around issues of teen pregnancy and infant health.

Pamela Nemon

Ms. Nemon is a pre-school administrator and teacher. She is a trained early child education professional and has managed educational programs for disadvantaged populations throughout Latin America and Europe.

Guldeniz Yucelen

Dr. Yucelen received her Psy. D. from Rutgers University. She has worked clinically with patients with HIV/AIDS, Kosovar refugees, earthquake survivors, patients with chronic and severe mental illness, families and children in the foster care system, and families of children with developmental disabilities. She has also conducted research for the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging.
